Now running through March 2025 is Shinka at LeMay – America’s Car Museum. The exhibit celebrates JDM (cars manufactured for Japan’s domestic market), Japanese car culture, and the impact Japanese car manufacturers have made on the global vehicle industry. Shinka spans the entire top floor of the museum with nearly 50 vehicles from numerous decades. As you explore the floor, keep your eyes peeled for art from local artists, including Glenn Mitsui and a suit of samurai armor from the Japanese Consulate.
With racing and rally cars, motorcycles, family wagons, and compact “Kei Cars,” visitors can experience the breadth of Japanese auto all in one place.
