Baseball is probably my favorite sporting event to attend. Why? Because no matter what, I’m going to have a good time. There is a nostalgia that comes with sitting in a ballpark, drinking a cold beer, scarfing down a hotdog, and sitting with your friends watching a group of grown-ups essentially play tag with bats and balls.
On Monday, May 8th, your favorite Seattle sailors face the Texas Rangers in the first of three showdowns, and it’s a value game. You can score $10 bleacher/view level, $20 main level, or $30 terrace club seats.
Beyond the rules, which you don’t need to know, you should know that this game takes time. Meaning, like a flyball in the outfield, you can roam. So hit The ‘Pen before the first pitch for happy hour, grab a slice from the newly opened Moto Pizza, or visit the Mariners Hall of Fame. Who couldn’t use a brush-up on baseball history?
Tip: The value games happen throughout the season, so spring for the $30 terrace club seats if available. You get nicer seats, hit up the Terrace Club Lounge, and have an elevated view of the game. And don’t forget to take the light rail to save on parking—because, with any good baseball game, you’ll probably leave a little buzzed.
