We’ve all been there. You turn 12, and becoming a preteen comes with all sorts of changes. You’re not little anymore, not quite a teen. You’re stuck in the limbo where holidays like Halloween and Easter change. Don’t fret, though, because there’s a solution: teen easter egg hunts—because bunny ears are ageless. 

Community centers and parks are holding these nighttime twists on tradition around the Seattle area. Search for bunny swag in the dark with a flashlight like some sort of passover pirate. (No flashlight? Put your iPhone flashlight to work and search for those eggs.) 

Many of the events are free and also include games or after-parties.
