While spring planting may already be underwayāhome gardeners need not fretāthereās still ample time to prep your garden beds to thrive well into summer and fall. But maybe youāre still searching for a spark of design inspiration? Or maybe you could use some gentle gardening guidance?
Enter Sorticulture, a three-day gardening arts festival in seaside downtown Everett. Thereāll be over 130 artists, nurseries, and garden-related nonprofits to shop and learn from along with a music stage, food trucks, and more. Also making his return is PNW gardening icon Ciscoe Morris, where heāll be presenting a talk on great plant picks with a Q&A.
And thereāll be plenty more classes to sit in on over the weekend. This year, Sorticulture is venturing into new gardening and art education opportunities (offered at the Schack Art Center). Here are some highlights:
Gardening classes š±
- Transforming turf: exploring sustainable alternatives to traditional lawns @ 2:30 pm, June 7th
- Bringing back the pollinators @ 4 pm, June 7th
- Mason bees @ 1 pm, June 8th
- Garden fun for kids and seed library story time @ 2 pm, June 8th
- Vegetable gardening for yourself and your community @ 1 pm, June 9th
- Gardening in the shade @ 2:30 pm, June 9th

Just a heads up: Gardening classes are limited to 50 people and are first come, first served, so get there early!
