If you want to start the spooky season early, head to the recently expanded Seattle Ahhhhquarium. A whole week before All Hallows Eve, this after-hours Halloween party includes lots of ways to get chills and thrills:
- Enter the costume contest, which has three categories: aquatic, spooky, and DIY. Registration is required, and voting occurs at 9 pm in the aquarium’s Puget Sound Hall.
- Play games like aquatic “fact-or-fiction trivia” or the “toxic test” to learn about venomous sea creatures.
- Get raffle tickets to see a Kraken—well, tickets to a Seattle Krakens game and other swag.
- Sip on Halloween-themed drinks and cocktails.
- No bash is complete without a band, so expect live music.
Heads-up: General admission ($40.95 + fees) includes access to the Aquarium’s Pier 59 and Pier 60 buildings only. To visit the new Ocean Pavillion, add the VIP Experience ($85 + fees). VIP guests get early access to the event plus a welcome drink, spooky snacks, and tarot readings.
