🌐 Learn more about “Table 17”
If your ex called, would you pick up? Jada and Dallas are about to find out, over one very long dinner downtown.
🍷 The setup
They were engaged. Then they weren’t. Two years later, they’re across a restaurant table trying to keep it casual, their waiter has thoughts about all of it, and casual is going terribly.
⚡ The vibes
If you grew up on “Love Jones,” “Brown Sugar” and “The Best Man,” this is that energy on a stage. Two grown people flirting, dodging and refusing to say the actual thing. Douglas Lyons (“Chicken & Biscuits”) writes like you’re eavesdropping on the next table, and he keeps his cards close, so you’re guessing right up until you aren’t.
🎭 The cast
Bria Samoné Henderson is Jada. Brandon Jones Mooney is Dallas. Lamar Legend is River. Shermona Mitchell directs. Henderson trained at UW and built her early career on local stages, so this one is a homecoming.
👀 The audience
Date night, obviously. Also, the group chat, your sister who quotes rom-coms, the friend who still has opinions about your last relationship and anyone going alone, because comedy is better in a room full of people.
