It’s time for the greatest event in sports. The zenith of competition. The stuff of legends. Its participants are at the top of their game, ready to launch themselves forward at a moment’s notice at blistering speeds. They’ve trained all year for this very moment. Just them, their four stubby legs, and their super-duper fuzzy coats

Aw yeah, it’s time for the now-annual Corgi Cup halftime extravaganza! In a city where pets outnumber our citizens, we’ll take any chance to show them off. And smack-dab in the middle of Lumen Field is probably the greatest stage in town for these adorable little dinguses

On a personal note, I’ve gone semi-viral on Instagram exactly twice, and both of them involved god’s silliest animal. One was a Seattle Mariners Bark at the Park Simbacam. The other was an early 2023 Seahawks halftime entertainment dog race where, during the final heat, the winning corgi chose chaos. Here’s hoping I can achieve the same amount of notoriety with my handy dandy iPhone, my now-ancient degree in film production, and the Meta algorithm.

Anyway, there’s also a football game happening, with the Seahawks going up against their NFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Rams. And while I’d love to see a halftime race between an augur hawk and a ram, or maybe some kind of obstacle course, I’ll have to settle for Geno versus Stafford.

Back to the doggos: Here are the photos from last year. Look at those goofy boofs
