Step on the dance floor of an intergalactic nightclub right here on planet Earth! Yuri’s Night—hosted at the Museum of Flight—is an annual worldwide space party honoring Yuri Gagarin, the first human to journey into space. With cocktails, costumes, and celestial energy in full orbit, Yuri’s Night is one of the few opportunities out of the year to experience the museum after hours.
Costumes are highly encouraged—think your best sci-fi fit, glittering aliens, or 1960s cosmonaut glam. The evening begins with a fireside chat with astronaut Chris Sembroski and with the Museum’s Space Curator. Afterward hit the dance floor in the Aviation Pavillion to dance under the towering glass ceiling to music from Gene Farris, Alfonso Tan and Bad Ginger.
Get locked into the pull of immersive VR experiences, snap interstellar selfies, and stop by the silent disco to turn cosmic quiet into a solo space dance. Numerous food trucks will be on-site to fuel your voyage and space-themed activities will put the party in full propulsion mode.
Pro tip
This after-hours party has an after-party! Keep the night in hyperdrive ’til 4 am with the Official Yuri’s Night After Party at Monkey Loft. Tickets sell out fast so make sure to grab them when you purchase admission.
