Have you ever wondered when you’d have the chance to see fiery glassblowing 🔥and strikingly still icebergs in one place? Have you ever hoped to see art made by casting a fly-fishing rod🎣 (in real time) side by side with a luxurious (and thought-provoking) walk-in closet you can step inside yourself? When Seattle Art Fair returns to Lumen Field Event Center this July 17–20, you’ll find everything you’ve been hoping for and more.

Returning to Seattle for its ninth year, Seattle Art Fair is a one-of-a-kind showcase for the vibrant arts community of the Pacific Northwest and a leading destination for the best in modern and contemporary art. Celebrated year after year for its strong regional roots and global reach, this year’s four-day fair will feature 88 top galleries from the Pacific Northwest and around the world as well as a slate of newly commissioned installations and performances and an array of innovative public programming.

A few exhibitor highlights include Pilchuck Glass School, which is joining forces with the Museum of Glass (Tacoma) to illuminate the lasting impact of studio glass on the region. The two institutions are also collaborating on a dynamic presentation of live glassblowing at the fair’s main entrance, bringing their Mobile Hot Shop to life with on-site demonstrations throughout the weekend.

You’ll also discover exhibitions by PDX CONTEMPORARY ART, which will present ambrotype photographs of icebergs by Susan Seubert, who has traveled with scientists across the Arctic and Antarctica documenting icebergs for over 15 years; plus a unique curation from notable first-time participant Gary Snyder Fine Art MT (Montana) and artist Ben Miller, who will create a work inspired by Washington’s Elwha River using his “fly cast painting” process, created by thousands of singular casts with a fly-fishing rod.

To top it all off? Food and beverages are sold on-site at various locations throughout the fair and all artwork on display inside the fair booths is for sale.

Seattle Art Fair returns to Lumen Field this July 17-20 with 88 top galleries from around the world.
