Continuing the legacy 🎸

The heavy metal world mourned collectively on May 11th, 2022 when news broke that Trevor Strnad, vocalist of The Black Dahlia Murder and outspoken advocate for underground heavy music had died. The incredibly talented metal vocalist had toured the world and recorded nine albums with TBDM, earning them a spot as one of the biggest current bands in the melodic death metal genre. Four months later, in the September issue of Decibel Magazine, it was made official that the band would be continuing on with founding member and master shredder Brian Eschbach stepping away from his guitar duties and taking over the role of lead vocalist. These are some very big shoes to fill, but from all accounts, and live video clips, he is the perfect man for the job. For their first time back in the Northwest since we lost Trevor Strnad, the band is continuing his legacy of lifting up hard-working underground metal bands by packing the lineup with some big-time heavy hitters—Texas riff beasts Frozen Soul, Los Angeles’ hardcore heroes Terror, Massachusetts death metal crew Fuming Mouth and North Dakota up-and-comers Phobophilic.
