šŸŽø Bumbershoot is back, baby! Earlier this year, Seattle Center’s biggest summer festival announced its return this Labor Day weekend after a few years of turbulence and reimaginings. (More on that here.) TLDR: During the pandemic, a group of local producers took hold of the fest’s reins under the name New Rising Sunā€”and this September, that group will produce a new fest with everything from palm readings to contemporary art to pole dancing to, of course, lots of music. Today, we learned more about that music lineup.

āœ”ļø OK OK so who’s on that lineup? Here’s the announcement post from Bumbershoot this morning:

And below, weā€™re highlighting 15 of the acts weā€™re most excited to see.

Sleater-Kinney

Brittany Howard

King Youngblood

Matt and Kim

Bomba Estereo

šŸŽŸļø What’s the ticket situation?

Tickets are cheaper than in previous years. To celebrate the fest’s 50th anniversary, discounted $50 single-day tickets went on sale Friday, February 24th @ 10 am. Two-day passes started at a discounted $85. We recommend getting tickets sooner rather than later: Single-day tickets will top out at $85, and two-day passes at $130.
