What the Funk?! Burlesque Festival 2024 @ The Triple Door

Five years of funk🕺🏽

📸: What the Funk?!

📆 Thursday, August 22nd – Saturday, August 24th
🎟 Tickets start at $30
📍 The Triple Door: 216 Union St, Seattle

Funk is stanky, nasty, and fun. Funk is groovin’ to the downbeat. Funk comes from mixing, experimenting, and letting the rhythm take over in improvisation.

What the Funk?! highlights and honors funk by combining it with the separate genre of burlesque. The first WTF?! was held in 2018, after performer Mx. Pucks A’Plenty had a realization about merging burlesque and funk. What started as a two-day show brought so much enjoyment to performers and attendees that they made it into a whole festival.

This year’s festival returns to the Triple Door to celebrate its five-year anniversary with three nights of fun—and over 40 BIPOC burlesquers

2024 headliners include:
Miss AuroraBoobRealis (NYC)
Lou Lou la Duchess de Rière (Canada)
Lady Lola LeStrange (Texas)
Miss Catwings (Hawaii)

Pacific Northwest Featured Performers:
Oroki (SEA)
Papaya Magic Cabaret (OLY)
Sandria Dore (PDX)

Each night features a different cast. Plus, on Saturday, August 24th, you can get your groove on with workshops offered by performers. But make sure to catch The Grand Master Funk 2024 Competition on Sunday night, as last year’s Grand Master, Desire d’Amour, steps down and someone else is handed the crown 👑
