I have a very easy matrix for whether I like a holiday: cute or not. Halloween? Cute. Fourth of July? Not cute. Valentine’s Day? The cutest of them all!

The only thing not cute about Valentine’s Day? The heteronormativity of it all. But at the Very Cherry Valentines Market, you won’t have trouble finding folks who shirk status quo expectations of romance. Cherry Pit will host over 25 vendors in the theme of Valentine’s Day, self-care, kink, and body positivity. With vendors spanning from wearables to edibles to smellables you can take care of gifts for all the sweeties in your life. 

Some highlights:

🦴 Market organizer Alexandra Clundt will show their pyrography work on ethically sourced bone. Clundt’s work, under the name Pyromanced, includes jawbone plant hangars and decorated skulls. 

🪴 If a planter with less calcium is more your lover’s style, check out Puritan Candy’s bondage-inspired leather—and vegan leather—plant hangars. A Puritan Candy object may also serve to foreshadow the real Valentine’s Day action to come.

🦷 Wearables at the market aren’t just temporary. Some are semi-permanent. If you are ready for a little commitment, get matching tooth gems from Brows by Sage. A tooth gem can last up to six months, so maybe opt out if you plan to be single by summer.
