The hills are alive with this new-to-some holiday tradition that will have your entire family toe tappin’ while harmonizing their hearts out! Strap on your lederhosen and time travel to 1930s Salzburg, Austria for Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music Sing-A-Long at The 5th Avenue Theatre. You and your family will fa-la-la along with Maria (Julie Andrews) and Captain von Trapp (Christopher Plummer) in this classic 1965 Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, a Best Picture honoree and one of the most beloved films of all time.
Don’t know the lyrics to catchy ditties like “Do-Re-Mi” and “My Favorite Things”? No problem. The film is subtitled with song lyrics so everyone can join The Trapp Family Singers as they discover the power of music, love, and family.
The fun starts even before the lights go out and the movie projector revs up. A very good place to start is a rousing round of von Trapp trivia. And who doesn’t love gifts? All attendees will receive a complimentary tote bag chock full of interactive goodies.
