Do the holidays have you in a humbug? If you need humor to help, check out The Eric Andre Show Live. The stand-up tour follows the sixth season of the Adult Swim series—The Eric Andre Show—which aired this summer. Over the years, guests on Andre’s show have included Vivica A. Fox, Lil Nas X, and even Jay Z and Beyonce, and the show’s shenanigans are legendary. They include a fake memorial for composer Pfelton Sutton, which caused fans to think he was dead (he isn’t), a stand-up comedy performance from a George Clooney impersonator, and I’ll never forget when reality TV star Lauren Conrad walked out of her interview after Andre ate vomit (which she did not know was oatmeal).
Andre has expanded his combination of what some call comedy and chaos beyond the Adult Swim show. His prank movie Bad Trip, co-starring Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish, was released on Netflix in 2021. And his new book Dumb Ideas, a behind-the-scenes exposé on pulling pranks, is now available. In it, he shares pranks to try at home, like “Benadryl Steaks” and “Amateur Graverobber.” With all that said, expect this stand-up performance to be full of hilarious disorder and the destruction of at least one desk.
