Seahawks ’90s Throwback @ Lumen Field

Nostalgia can be a dangerous weapon. Seeing the past through rose-colored glasses can obfuscate clear political transgressions, outdated morality and cringeworthy behavior we’ve all learned from as a collective society.

But there’s no denying that the 1990s were a boom decade for the Emerald City, as a relatively sleepy industrial town in an isolated corner of the United States made its mark on the national scene via pop culture, newfangled tech and some of the best damn sports fans around.

So, it’s only right to celebrate our past at the Seattle Seahawks ’90s throwback game. Revel as our dear Hawks doff what might be their strongest jersey design — introduced in 2023 with a design hearkening back to the days of Nirvana and before Bill Gates was an internationally known entity — as they face those vicious Vikings of Minnesota.
