The internet’s favorite animal is stepping off your screen and into the park: SAM Cat Fest is here. The Olympic Sculpture Park will transform into a feline playground, featuring a silly and sweet lineup of cat films curated by Cat Video Fest.

The fun goes beyond the screen too: Try your hand at cat toy artmaking (surely there’s something better than a wadded-up piece of paper?), show off your feline facts at cat trivia with self-proclaimedfancypants clown and cat lady” Tootsie Spangles and catch a live set from klezmer kitties Party Cats. Local rescues will be on hand with adoptable cats looking for their forever homes, so you just might come for the films and leave with a new best friend.

With a bar by Shooby Doo Catering, a food truck on-site and plenty of room to sprawl out on a blanket, it’s the ultimate night for cat lovers. To keep the vibe cool and comfortable, please leave your own furry companions at home.

Program highlights:

  • 8:30-9 p.m. | Final visits with local rescues
  • 5-9 p.m. | Cat rescue adoptions and cat toy artmaking
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m. | Party Cats performance
