“Boats, Bites, Brews, & Bands” is the tagline for the 6th annual Party on the Cut, a kickoff event for the Windermere Cup, an annual rowing competition that started in 1987 when UWâs Rowing program faced off against a team from the Soviet Union. But thatâs not where the history of this event stops. (In 2001, half the Romanian womenâs team left crew and country to defect in Seattle!) Think of this event as the beginning of boating season in Seattle.
The 38th Windermere Cup will occur on Saturday, but the festivities begin the night before. Held at the NE Corner of Montlake Cut, near the UW Waterfront Activity Center, the party includes:
Boats đŁââď¸đś
