📆  Saturday, October 7th – Sunday, October 8th
📍 Meydenbauer Center: 11100 NE 6th St, Bellevue
🎟️ Tickets: $16 – $85

Regardless of which Charlie and the Chocolate Factory you grew up with, that first scene in which the lucky (or unlucky if you think about how the rest of the film plays out) winners of the Golden Ticket and their guardians are welcomed into Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory is absolutely iconic. It’s a true wonderland. Giant candy mushrooms, chocolate-filled pumpkins, candy apple trees, lollipop bushes, and more fill rolling green hills, but what lives on in our minds from that scene is that positively decadent, winding chocolate river. If you’re like us, and wish you’d been able to sample it—minus falling in Augustus Gloop-style—then the next best thing will be over in Bellevue during the first weekend of October.

This year the Northwest Chocolate Festival is celebrating its 15th year at the Meydenbauer Center, gathering artisan chocolate makers from around the world. Prepare your tastebuds. Throughout the festival, chocolate products from over 25+ countries will be available to sample. Look out for chocolate education workshops for home and professional chefs with tasting offered simultaneously on all stages, exhibitions galore, cacao and ecology talks, and keynote seminars from the chocolate industry.

Day and weekend-long passes are available for purchase on Northwest Chocolate Festival’s website, along with hotel discounts for those traveling to the festival. Heads up: kids ages 6 and under enter the fest free; no tickets required!
