This summer, experience stories that reflect, uplift and connect us. 🎥 Created by local North Sound filmmakers, these stories feature the people, movements and moments that are shaping the future of our region. 🏞️
At the first-ever North Sound Voices Film Festival, filmmakers from across the region will showcase vital stories of voices that often go unseen and unheard. The North Sound region is home to more than one million people living in both urban and rural communities, spanning from the mountains to the Salish Sea islands. The region includes Island, San Juan, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties, and is home to eight tribal nations whose people have inhabited the land since time immemorial.
This multi-day film festival includes eight unique films that center the voices and experiences of North Sound. From food sovereignty, LGBTQ+ rights and indigenous identity to grassroots justice, mental health and cultural resilience. These films offer a glimpse into our communities with the aim of elevating regional storytelling, inspiring collaboration, celebrating creativity and motivating action on the issues pressing us today.
Running from June through September, the North Sound Voices Film Festival invites you to experience powerful storytelling all summer long through screenings, community conversations and special events. With in-person showings in Everett, Mount Vernon and Bellingham, plus virtual options, there are many ways to join in. So, grab your tickets, bring a friend and support local filmmakers while making connections rooted in equity and belonging!
One region. Eight films. Countless stories. Discover the power of local voices at the North Sound Voices Film.
