As the weather cools and bare tree branches begin to snap in the wind, PNW dwellers start their search for a spooky scare. 🍂 But nothing is more nightmarish than waiting in an hours-long line to have a haunted experience. 💀
The Nile Nightmares haunted house has cracked the code. Guests join a virtual queue to know exactly when the haunted doors will open for them. In the meantime, a full midway awaits with carnival games, live entertainment, fun treats and even a “fear garden” for those 21+ to get their courage up.
When the dread hour arrives (with a text) and you’ve reached the top of the virtual queue, you’ll then embark on a fear-filled adventure where live actors roam (without touch) and special effects scare.
One haunted guest painted this visceral picture, “I was very impressed with how elaborate and spread out this haunted house is. It was visually incredible — and we got quite a few jump scares.” Or, as another scared screamer noted, “I screamed so much I had to drink ginger and mint when I got home. But… I kind of want to do it again.”
New this year, visiting spooks can put their senses to the test in The Abyss, a pitch-black maze where 1-5 players compete in a timed race to escape with only sound and touch as guides.
Another fun twist for 2026? Nile Nightmares is unveiling a new, secret bar VIP experience. On certain nights, guests 21+ can access a spooky watering hole hidden somewhere in the haunt and sip on one specialty drink.
It’s seriously the stuff of nightmares.
