A Lynnwood institution, the Bowl & Skate opened in 1956 and 1958, respectively. A major renovation in 2006 officially combined both businesses. The black confetti-patterned carpet looks like it’s from the 90s, which is probably why I feel so nostalgic every time I’ve been here.

The 24-lane bowling alley goes cosmic (black lights on!) Friday through Sunday. For the throwback effect, bring your friends and wear your brightest whites and neons. Book a full lane for $42 per hour; pricing and timing varies. On the skate side, $25 drop-in classes are available every Sunday from 11 am ā€“ 12 pm. That includes your skate rental and admission to the all-ages open skate from 12 ā€“ 9 pm.Ā
