‘Monty Python’s Spamalot’ @ The 5th Avenue Theatre

“Spamalot” ticks all the boxes for a night at the theater: dancing ✅, British royalty ✅, rubbery shrubbery ✅, flying cow ✅, even a killer rabbit ✅. And this February, the crowd favorite is returning to The 5th Avenue Theatre.

A musical lovingly ripped off from the motion picture “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” “Spamalot” first galloped onto Broadway in 2005, subsequently earning 14 Tony nominations and three wins, including Best Musical Comedy.

With a book and lyrics by Eric Idle (a founding member of the Monty Python comedy group) and music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, “Spamalot” features beloved songs (including the aptly named “The Song That Goes Like This”) that have become classics in the musical theater canon.
