Purple beer??

You can see (and taste) it by ordering the limited edition “Body Paint” IPA at the new Reuben’s Brews that just opened last Saturday, October 21st, in Fremont. According to Reuben’s, the color comes from butterfly pea flower. (Our guesses of ube and taro were wrong.)

While it’s only available at the Fremont location, the beer also comes canned, so you can bring the funky vibes home. Just be sure to pour it into a glass to see the spectacle.
