As the leaves continue to fall and the days get shorter and shorter, staying warm and cozy with our loved ones is top of mind. And now with Halloween behind us, it’s only a matter of time before we’re crashing headlong into the holiday season. For all you freaks folks who are already itching for the jingle of Christmas carols, but not quite feeling their warmth through muffled department store speakers, an elevated holiday experience is coming to downtown. On December 3rd, Leslie Odom Jr. hits Benaroya Hall for his Christmas tour.
While his role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton—which won him a Tony for Best Actor in a Musical—first catapulted him into our collective consciousness, Odom has continued to prove his chops as a singer and actor. Over his career he’s released five albums and starred in TV shows and movies including Murder on the Orient Express, Red Tails, Harriet, One Night in Miami, and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. A bonafide crooner, Odom’s music and style also draws influence from legends Nat King Cole and Nina Simone.
Let this evening bring back some of the magic of holiday music and immerse yourself in the sound of Leslie Odom Jr.’s silky set of pipes and magnetic stage presence, accompanied, of course, by the lovely Seattle Symphony.
Performing at Benaroya Hall, the Seattle Symphony unleashes the power of music, brings people together, and lifts the human spirit.
