New York City, New Orleans, and Chicago are undisputed food capitals in the United States, but let’s give credit where credit’s due: Seattle is a wonderful place to be if you’re a foodie. Not only can you find pretty much any cuisine your heart desires across its neighborhoods, but it seems like every month something’s going down in the food scene. For example: for two weeks in the fall, restaurants, bars, cafes, food trucks, and pop-ups across the Seattle area will be offering curated lunch and dinner menus ranging from $20 to $65. The occasion? Just a little something called Seattle Restaurant Week.

If you wanted to get a kickstart on all the festivities though, October 7th is Good Company: A Seattle Restaurant Week Preview at The Collective in South Lake Union where you’ll be able to try offerings from 25 chefs, restaurants, pop-ups, distilleries, breweries, and wineries. KEXP’s DJ Sharlese will be spinning tunes for the evening.

🍲 Ethan Stowell Restaurants
🍲 Sabine Cafe and Bar

The menu of the evening is set to be sourced from local farms and producers providing ingredients at season’s peak, including Farmstand Local Foods, Key City Fish, Blue Dot Kitchens, and WA state dairy and cheesemakers.

And if you’re looking for a particularly heightened experience, there’ll be a limited number of VIP tickets that will give you early access to the event and includes a showcase of Westland Distillery’s American Single Malt with whiskey flights, full-size cocktails and a presentation with bartender Mark Paschal from Jude’s Old Town—they’re even throwing in gift cards to South Lake Union establishments. Fancy!

Heads up: The real deal starts on October 22 and runs through November 4. The full list of participating restaurants can be found on Seattle Restaurant’s Week’s website.
