In the season of pumpkin everything, Elysian Brewing’s newly revamped Capitol Hill brewpub gets in on the action. This year 22nd annual Great Pumpkin Beer Festival has been reimagined into a single-day format that ushers in festive, seasonal revelry on Saturday, October 3.
Craft beer enthusiasts typically sell out this Seattle autumn tradition that features more than 60 pumpkin and fall harvest brews from makers across the country. Attendees also enjoy live DJ sets, local food trucks, a costume contest (so show up dressed to impress!) and a lively pumpkin pie-eating showdown. The main attraction every year, however? It’s when a several-hundred-pound pumpkin is carved, scorched, filled with beer and tapped live.
For those looking to kick off pumpkin beer season before the October festivities, Elysian’s Pumpkin Variety Pack already can be found on shelves nationwide.
