GeekGirlCon 2023 @ Seattle Convention Center

Let’s get geeky 🦸‍♀️

📆 Saturday, October 7th – Sunday, October 8th
⏰ 9 am – 8 pm
📍 Seattle Convention Center (Arch): 800 Pike Street, Seattle
🎟 Kids passes: $0 – $30 | Adult passes: $35 – $60

When you break it down, we’re all geeks at heart. The real question is whether or not you want to admit it to yourself. Now that we’re well into the Age of the Geek—most of us carry little computers around in our pocket, comic book stories dominate at the box office, video games make more than the movie and music industries combined, and internet boards influence how television shows get written—we can all be more honest with ourselves about our passions. I suppose the question remains, though, how rigidly you define the word “geek.” Enter GeekGirlCon, who seeks to expand the definition.

No offense to the many wonderful conventions that the greater Seattle area hosts each year, but GeekGirlCon (GGC) is my favorite of the bunch. It’s constantly reinventing itself, listening to and learning from the evolving world around it, and wholly unafraid of taking chances. I deeply appreciate its sense of discovery and how it engages with curiosity, celebrating and honoring “the legacies of under-represented groups in science, technology, comics, arts, literature, game play, and game design.”

It’s also dynamically affordable, with $35-40 day passes, $60 weekend passes, and family-friendly prices as low as FREE for “geeklets” five and under.

Elucidating without being overwhelming, GGC is welcoming to all walks of geeky life. It rewards going into panels cold, hoping you’ll come out a little more well-rounded, a little more open, and a whole lot geekier.
