You may want to pull a Winnie-the-Pooh and go all Un-Valentine this year. But despite the holiday’s commercialism, who doesn’t like chocolate and little treats? Instead of hiding from Cupid or going down a Wikipedia hole about the dark history behind Valentine’s Day, grab your favorite friend, the one you’d do anything for, and have some seltzers at a Galentine’s Day celebration.

Seattle Women’s Network (SWN), whose mission is to empower, enrich, and encourage women to achieve their goals through community building, is holding this Galentine’s Day event. It’s one of many elevated events they’ve held since founding in 2022, which include networking opportunities and sip & shops.

2024 is the second year for SWN’s Galentine’s Day event. Held at and co-sponsored by local woman-owned business San Juan Seltzer, expect an evening of drinks, bites, and the chance to unleash your inner model at the party’s photo booth. Along with your ticket comes the opportunity for a tarot reading by Elaheh Divination & Healing and hitting the dance floor to music by DJ Amber Love. Each ticket also comes with a gift bag with sweet treats.

Dress up: Pull those Barbie costumes out of the closet because the dress code is “Pink and Red” + “Glitter and Sequins”! This event usually sells out, but SWN holds events monthly, so stay tuned to their IG for March.
