October is still only the start of the fall arts season in Seattle. Lucky for us, we have all the theater, exhibitions, music, shows, and beyond for us to attend to our heart’s desires until winter. Heralding the beginning of this season, though, is the long-standing—since 1989 to be exact—Earshot Jazz Festival, highlighting resident and world-renowned artists in the jazz realm. For 30 days, you’ll be able to catch concerts and events from both established musicians as well as emerging ones on the scene who are innovating, experimenting, and exploring the art form.

This year Earshot is set to run from October 6th through November 5th at venues all around Seattle, and getting it rolling on the first day is Earshot’s 2022 resident artist, saxophonist, and tap dancer Alex Dugdale and his funk band. You can catch the full lineup of performances on Earshot Jazz’s website, but here are a few highlights:

🎶 October 8th: Hiromi’s Sonicwonder @ Town Hall Great Hall
🎶 October 15th: Chief Adjuah @ Town Hall Great Hall
🎶 October 18th: Birch Pereira’s Delta Jump @ Century Ballroom
🎶 October 19th: Jun Iida Sextet @ Clock-Out Lounge
🎶 October 27th: Harriet Tubman @ Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute
🎶 November 4th: Battle of the Bands @ Roosevelt High School
🎶 November 5th: La Dame Blanche and Carlos Snaider @ Century Link Ballroom
