Has summer even really started without an outdoor concert? We don’t think so. So, when you’re ready to kickstart the season, we’ve got the perfect musical series already set for you.

Puyallup’s annual Concerts in the Park series features snacks, sunshine and stellar bands that span several genres. Even better — all concerts are totally free. Head to Puyallup’s Pioneer Park on Thursdays (and one Wednesday) at 5 p.m. to pick up noshes from the food trucks and vendors on-site during Puyallup Night Market. Then, as long as inclement weather holds off, all concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Check out this year’s summer lineup:

  • Thursday, July 10: Brohamm — kings of R&B play lively songs from old-school Motown classics and Philly soul to upbeat, funky R&B songs of today and yesterday.
  • Thursday, July 17: Slim Wizzy — this country, rock and blues band has captivated audiences with their raw energy, soulful melodies and electrifying performances.
  • Thursday, July 24: Infinity Project — the Northwest’s premier Journey tribute band.
  • Thursday, July 31:  Brick House —grab those wigs, bell-bottom pants and platform shoes and get ready to boogie-oogie all night long to your favorite old-school disco funk jams from the 70s.
  • Wednesday, August 6: Paperback Writer — the ultimate Beatles tribute band complete with authentic Beatles costumes.
  • Thursday, August 7: Almost Human —  the West Coast’s premier KISS tribute band. Featuring full costumes, makeup and all the rock ‘n’ roll attitude, swagger and shenanigans that make a real KISS show so electrifying.
  • Thursday, August 14: Hair Nation — Hair Nation recreates the experience of the mid-80s rock ‘n’ roll scene with authentic live performances.
  • Thursday, August 21: Harmonious Funk — a blend of old-school favorites with contemporary R&B and soul.
  • Thursday, August 28: Spike & The Impalers  —  Seattle’s top classic rock band.

But there’s even more to love about summer in Puyallup. Stop by the farmers’ market on Saturdays for fresh flowers, produce and snacks. Or check out Move Puyallup, a new program of free yoga and exercise classes in Pioneer Park.
