First Fridays • 4 pm

I love how casual art walks are. Wear what you want while you listen to live music, buy art, or just window shop. There’s no shame in eyeing what interests you till you’re ready to commit. I choose my artwork with more discretion than potential partners! And if you’d like to combine endeavors, the Burien Art Walk makes for a great date night. It happens on the first Friday of each month, and it has, in my opinion, one of the best downtowns worth exploring in the South End.

ICYMI: Art walks are part art gallery, part bar crawl. For Burien’s, I suggest you first go grab grub at Centro Neighborhood Kitchen, where you can pair a margarita flight with my favorite fish taco in the area. For real, this taco has a habanero-honey sauce that’s so addicting. Afterward, stop in at Citlali Creative, a stationery shop, where I recently got my “I’m A Black Woman, What’s Your Superpower?” sticker.
