Crank a classic neighborhood block party up to 11 and you’ve got Belltown Blast. This second annual street party in the heart of Belltown packs in a little bit of everything that makes this vibrant community tick.
Live music? Of course. Thirteen acts across two stages, all afternoon. Street art? You bet, with 16 artists working on murals between Bell and Blanchard until the sun goes down. Throw in skate ramps, BMX jumps, a makers’ market, a beer garden and some of the best street food in town, and you’ve got a very worthy way to spend a Saturday. The wrestling ring, dog show and iconic host Vincent Drambuie are the icing on the cake.
The all-ages fun kicks off at noon, when 2nd Ave. becomes a car-free party zone between Lenora and Battery Streets. Music starts at 4:20 p.m. with Plash on the Jupiter Stage, and local favorites Killbuzz and Muñeca taking the final slots just after 9 p.m.
After dark, the party moves indoors for After The Blast, with music and comedy shows taking over some of Belltown’s most iconic venues, including Jupiter Bar and Belltown Yacht Club.
Bring your friends, bring your kids, bring your well-dressed dogs to this full day of free community fun, Belltown-style.
