In its 16th year, Seattle Beer Week puts everyone’s favorite beverage (besides water obv) in the spotlight, turning the city into a hop-filled haven for beer lovers. From May 9 to 17, breweries and bars will hold events that range from a beer-brewer spelling bee to a beer can derby. Many of the events harness a “school’s out for summer” energy, including a Mario Kart tournament, cornhole showdown, and a pet-a-pup event where you can grab a beer and adopt a dog.
The kickoff begins at Urban Family Brewing with an official tapping of this year’s official beer — Group Project helles lager! Highlights of this year’s events include the cask-o-rama, pig-n-pint night and a sour hour comedy night.
From pints to puppies, Seattle Beer Week is full of reasons to raise a glass. Visit the Seattle Beer Week events page to check out all the hoppy happenings.
💡Pro tips:
🍺Don’t try to do it all — pick just three or four events (it’s a celebration not a challenge).
🍕Save room for food! Plan snacks between pours.
🚘Leave the car at home. Many venues are in walkable neighborhoods or close to transit.
