True, baseball is a tremendous spectator sport, alternately relaxing and electrifying. Even with jobs and responsibilities and whatnot, its middle-of-the-year season makes you feel like you’re on summer vacation, like you’re getting away with something.

But you, you’re an actual adult, and what’s the greatest thing you can do at a game that a child can’t? (Legally speaking.) Sipping some nice, cool beer on a hot day. Now, what if I told you that, for one day only, they’re going to turn your favorite ballpark into a craft beer festival?

That’s right! They’re finding even more ways to get alcohol into your gullet at a stadium! Bless. Enter the inaugural Batter Up Brewfest at T-Mobile Park.

The M’s will be playing an away game in Tampa that day, so they’re putting the game up on the big screen! And For just $59, you’ll receive eight tastings from some of your local mainstays (Boneyard Beer, Fremont Brewing, Hop Valley) and maybe even a new favorite (I’ve got my eye on you, offerings from Chainline and Aslan Brewing Company), plus even more local establishments yet to be announced.

Then there’s something called the Corona Beach Lounge (sounds sunny!). Any additional tastings or 16-ounce pours will cost you extra, but you’ll be so jazzed to be among friends and new acquaintances that, hey, you’ve earned that extra brewsky.

Your childhood self would be proud. Probably.
