Ayron Jones is a rock star, through and through. This Seattle native has been touring the world for the last couple years playing alongside royalty like Jeff Beck and Guns N’ Roses. Hell, last year he even opened up a couple European dates for The Rolling freakin’ Stones. Just five years ago, it was commonplace to see Ayron headlining the Crocodile with his powerful, soulful voice and transcendent guitar playing. The years of grinding it out in the Seattle bar and club scene paid off when he landed a major record deal with Big Machine Records, smashed his way onto mainstream rock radio playlists worldwide, and began his globetrotting mission to show the world what this city had known for years–Ayron Jones is the absolute truth.
In a recent interview for Consequence of Sound, Jones described how his first major influence was Gospel music, but later he found himself immersed in the heavy world of bands like Velvet Revolver and Incubus. This special hometown show comes just one day before he drops his major label follow-up to 2021’s excellent Child of the State titled Chronicles of the Kid. If the album’s first single “Blood In The Water” is any indication, this album could find him thrown into the conversation alongside Soundgarden, Heart, and Jimi Hendrix when people think of all time Northwest rock n roll artists.
