After a bumpy two years, Trans Pride Seattle is back in-person at Volunteer Park. The event kicks off at 5:30 pm and features performances by The Royal House of Noir, Seattle’s All Black Kiki Ballroom House, and queer synth pop group Seaside Tryst, along with local artists and performers like DJ Mixx America, Karinyo, Virtuanaut, and Michete throughout the night.

You may be thinking: Trans Pride in September? Well, first off, Trans Pride is year-round. Second off: The date was pushed back because of ongoing COVID challenges. “Pushing the date back also allows us to explore other venue options which will allow for greater accessibility and security,” organizers write. While this year’s celebration is a bit more scaled-back (there won’t be a march), don’t let that stop you from showing up and out for Seattle’s trans and gender-diverse community.
