O Father of Future House, bless us with a night of lights and lasers.

French producer and DJ Tchami is throwing a warehouse rave in Seattle’s Magnuson Park this week, performing at Hanger 30 and giving us a taste of the 90s. There’ll be a few upgrades from this decade, beginning with the production. Tchami loves to perform with the persona of a priest during his sets, using visuals of an altar and stained-glass windows. It gives off a spiritual vibe, and he believes his music is about that, too.

Tchami began releasing music nearly ten years ago, and since then he’s crafted an image as “the founding father of Future House.” What started as a way for him to make his music stand out on SoundCloud has now emerged as an entirely new genre that’s led him to play on stages worldwide.

This past Halloween weekend, he was in Seattle closing out the Groove Graveyard at Insomniac’s BOO! festival. As soon as he took the stage, he kicked off the set with his signature sound that let the crowd know that church was starting. Magnuson Park should expect the same high-energy Biblical vibes.
