Too Late — You Missed It!

March 26th – April 2nd

My boyfriend and I are both bartenders, and he often jokes that we’re ā€œjust transferring liquids.ā€ We both know this is an oversimplification of the job—said liquids have the potential to tell a story of place, and bartenders hold space for guests to just… be. At Seattle Cocktail Week, our colleagues across the city will do what we do best with crafty drinks and events for every palate.Ā

Over 100 participating barsĀ are showing out with special menus. Here are the libations that piqued our curiosity the most:Ā

šŸøĀ CARROT GOLD N’ ARMSĀ @Ā Dark Room
“Wake up and drink your vegetables!” says my boyfriend.
Genepy, Rittenhouse Rye, Italian blanco aperitif, carrot, peach, lemon, celery bitters, orange bitters

šŸøĀ JARADA NEGRONI @Ā Foreign National
We trust anything this bar puts out.
Plum-infused Sipsmith VJOP, Italian apƩritif, PX sherry vermouth blend, ras el hanout

šŸø Y TU MAMƁ TAMBIƉN @Ā Gracia
“It’s gonna look like a cappuccino!”
Mezcal, Nixta Corn Liqueur, coffee liqueur, amaro, sarsaparilla bitters, black walnut bitters, carajillo foam

šŸø SAITAMA PUNCH @Ā Itsumono
I’m here for an ingredient featured two ways.
Iichiko Saiten, tamarind syrup, amaro, lime, peppercorn bitters, peppercorn oil

šŸø BLEU JARDIN @Ā The Doctor’s Office
“Stirred bloody mary vibes.ā€
Trois Rivieres Cuvee La Ocean, chile liqueur, dry vermouth, garden party tomato

We couldn’t choose between these inventive gin cocktails, so cocktail nerds should try both.

šŸø TIME EPHEMERAL @Ā Underbelly
Astraea Gin – Meadows, pisco, tangerine cordial, pickled cherry blossom tincture, absinthe rinse, tangerine garnish

šŸø THE GREENHOUSE @Ā Corvus & Co
Big Gin, aquavit, chile vodka, carrot juice, lemon juice, lemongrass syrup, ginger juice, orgeat, whole egg, saline

Organizers have also curated a long roster ofĀ stellar in-person events. These were our top picks:

šŸ¹ Hundreds of spirits brands will pour mini cocktails and lead educational seminars atĀ Carnival of Cocktails. $64.99 gets you twelve tasting tokens plus access to ancillary events like the Benriach Cheese BarĀ and Tito’sĀ puppy-filled cocktail loungeĀ over atĀ Center Ring.Ā

šŸ¹Ā Try a whimsical cocktailĀ made by Albuquerque-basedĀ Happy Accidents. I hope they’re mixing Oreo Negronis. | March 27th, 8 pm @ Rob Roy

šŸ¹ Take a distillery tour withĀ Fast Penny Spirits | March 29th, 4 pm @ Fast Penny Spirits

šŸ¹ Sip on anĀ Uncle Nearest Old-Fashioned: This Black-owned Whiskey brand is finishing off its inaugural challenge supporting HBCUs | March 31st, 9 pm @ Screwdriver Bar

šŸ¹ Low-ABV cocktails are having a big moment: Go toĀ No – Low (March 27th, 5 pm @ Trade Winds Tavern), Snake Oil and Americana (March 29th, 6 pm @ Foreign National), or A Fantasy Evening with The Pathfinder (March 30th, 5 pm @ Sol Liquor)
