Where to See Drag in Seattle Every Night of the Week

Sashay this way 👠

The Mothership lands tomorrow and they’ve got @evviethehuman on board ? Join us at 8 for Betty’s Big Bang Bingo and get your dollars ready to tip these EXTRAterrestrials at 10 ?

A very observant person once tweeted this:

Every day does feel like a meet and greet for drag fans in Seattle. Drag Race queens regularly perform at bars like Capitol Hill’s Queer Bar, and local drag happens every night of the week. Most of it is focused around Capitol Hill but shows pop up all over, from Fremont to White Center.

While there’s an almost endless list of monthly drag shows, we’ve organized some of Seattle’s best weekly and biweekly shows, curated by day.

Updated July 2023

Not on the list? 🧐

New weekly shows appear all the time around Seattle. Add your show to our calendar then ping us at theticket@seattletimes.com and tell us about it.

Mondays

Drag Bingo @ The Traveling Goat

⏰ 7 pm
🎟️ No cover
📍 The Traveling Goat: 621 1/2 Queen Anne Ave N, Seattle

There’s truly no better way to start your week than with a hefty, divalicious dose of drag bingo. Every Monday evening, Asian fusion tapas and cocktail bar The Traveling Goat in Lower Queen Anne hosts drag bingo led by drag queen and self-proclaimed shapeshifting chanteuse, Louvel. Fight off your case of the Mondays with a cold brew martini (or two) and the primal thrill of winning a bingo prize. Dust don’t forget your bingo dauber!

Tuesdays

Belle of the Balls @ Skylark Lounge and Cafe

⏰ 8 – 10 pm
🎟️ No cover
📍
Skylark Lounge and Cafe: 3803 Delridge Way SW, Seattle

Drag is all over the region, and West Seattle and White Center to its south have become home to a variety of shows in the last few years. Notably, the Skylark Lounge and Cafe hosts a weekly all-ages bingo night with local queen Cookie Couture called Belle of the Balls. They’ve got great food here—even house-made pickles.

Or: Want more bingo? Try the weekly drag queen bingo at Unicorn hosted by Ruby Bouché and Izzy Access.

Tip 💰

Tip the performers at drag shows. Typically at least $1 a number. Bring $10 for the evening to be safe. Bring $20 to be extra safe. Or, I don’t know, give every performer a $20 and make it rain
How do you tip? It depends on the venue. Some places, like Kremwerk, are known for having their audience crumple up their $1s and chuck them at the performers. Other clubs have the audience patiently hand off ones to the queens as they pass. Every show could have slightly different customs. Just look around and do what other people are doing.

Wednesdays

Leather and Lace @ Southgate Roller Rink

⏰ 7 – 9 pm
🎟️ No cover
📍 Southgate Roller Rink Back Bar: 9646 17th Ave SW, Seattle

Fight the mid-week slump with White Center diva Old Witch’s freaky weekly show, Leather and Lace Drag Cabaret. The spooky drag queen invites the masses to the Southgate Roller Rink Back Bar for an evening of drag and debauchery. Dance in between performances to the musical selections of DJ Redline and maybe munch on takeout tacos from El Bujo. This event is free, but if you want to stay after for Pride Skate Night, it’ll be $10.

Or: If participatory events are more your thang, Columbia City’s Backyard pub brings in drag queen Louvel every Wednesday to host some bingo and karaoke. Bingo is from 7 – 9 pm and karaoke is 9 – 11 pm. Come through early at 5 pm for some food and drink specials.

Thursdays

Mothership @ Queer Bar

⏰ 10 – 11 pm
🎟️ Prices range | Book a table or VIP booth from $30 – $125 for multiple people
📍 Queer Bar: 1518 11th Ave, Seattle

You can reliably catch drag at 10 pm every Thursday at Queer Bar, with Mothership hosted by Irene the Alien and featuring ArriettyMoscato SkyJane Don’t, and some special guests. Heads-up: Queer Bar’s catwalk-like stage is bright. Bring sunglasses if you’re, I don’t know, stoned. Seating is limited, but you can reserve a booth ahead of time or sit at one of the tables. Dance nights start around 11, with DJ from Baby Van Beezly.

Fridays

Lashes, Fridays Are a Drag, Le Faux, and Mx.

Now that we’ve entered the weekend, we’ve got a few cast shows to choose from.

⏰ 8 pm
🎟️ No cover
📍 Unicorn: 1118 E Pike St, Seattle

The first is Lashes, the longest-running drag show in Washington State. After its home bar, R Place, shut down over the pandemic, and then its second home bar, The Comeback, shut down in mid-2023, Lashes moved over to Unicorn. Every Friday, Lashes host Ladie Chablis is joined by LuchiLondyn Bradshaw, and Kung Pow Meow to get you pre-gooped and gagged for a night out on the town, with food specials and drinks galore. (Stay after for a shot of “Unicorn Jizz” and an arcade game or two.)

A block over at NeighboursMiss Texas 1988 hosts the weekly Fridays Are a Drag with a rotating cast of characters while, down the street, the drag cabaret ladies of Le Faux are high-kicking and lip syncing for the dinner crowd at Julia’s on Broadway

The other big cast on this night is Mx.Queer Bar‘s signature show, which happens every Friday and Saturday. The lineup is stacked, with (take a deep breath) Irene the AlienMyAikóDiamond LilCalli the Stalli, Stacey StarstruckNorvina DuboisCaramelArriettyIssa ManJane Don’t, and Kennedy Colby, and often RuPaul’s Drag Race girls showing up. Get tickets ahead of time, especially on Drag Race nights. And make sure to tip the local girls too. It’s very rude to only tip Drag Race queens.

📍 Neighbours: 1509 Broadway, Seattle
📍 Julia’s on Broadway: 300 Broadway E, Seattle
📍 Queer Bar: 1518 11th Ave, Seattle

Saturdays

Drag Girls Drag Brunch @ Dreamland

⏰ 12 pm
🎟️ $15 – $25
📍 Dreamland Bar & Diner: 3401 Evanston Ave N, Seattle

Now that it’s Saturday, you’ve also got great drag brunches to choose from. The drag brunch at Dreamland Diner in Fremont has become one of the hottest tickets in town, with spots selling out well in advance. The food here is supremely good (that crunchy wrap supreme), and the vibes are very fun, so snag a ticket in advance for you and a table when you can. Or you can go back to Julia’s for their longtime drag brunch and cast show on Broadway in Capitol Hill.

Or: If you’re pining for something at night, you can check out both Mx. and Le Faux once again—or if you’re on the White Center side, “most” Saturday nights, drag diva Dolly Madison hosts Dolly and the DJ at The Lumber Yard Bar with DJ Al. Dance away!
