Hit up the AXS resale to catch this show: The Weyes Blood concert at The Showbox on Wednesday quickly sold out—but tickets are available, and more may open the day of.

These tickets are hot for a reason. In 2019, Weyes Blood joined Sub Pop to drop the album Titanic Rising to critical acclaim. Since then, Weyes Blood, AKA singer-songwriter Natalie Merin, has stood tall in her ability to address big feelings with a deft hand and pop sensibility. And her most recent record, And In The Darkness Hearts Aglow, is a folk-pop hit with orchestral digressions. It’ll be a treat to hear these songs live.

Supporting Weyes Blood is the infinitely talented Vagabon. I’m a giant fan of Vagabon, AKA multi-instrumentalist Laetitia Tamko, so I’m about to do some gushing: The skill here is unmistakable, and this tour marks a return for Tamko. She last released music consistently in 2019. But she’s staged a massive comeback through her latest song, “Carpenter,” with its distinct, percussive nod to her Cameroonian background. Vagabon’s first two albums were striking and creative, and this new release feels like reconnecting with an old friend.
