Vanishment @ Substation

Some of the region’s best shredders 🎸

Friday, April 7th  6:30 – 10:30 pm
w/ Blighted Eye, Goat Sanctuary, Serpent Speech

Metalheads rejoice, raise your horns to the sky, put on your finest battle vest and bang your heads, the Northwest scene is alive and well.

This stacked lineup of heavy-ass bands is 100% local and features some new-ish names you might still need to learn. There’s no doubt that 18 months-or-so away from shows during the thick of the pandemic weirdness gave some of the regions’ shredders plenty of time to work on new material, as we are starting to see a bunch of killer new releases coming out. The Substation is a great place to see a show like this—the sound is spot on, the beer is flowing, and there’s even a decent amount of street parking surrounding the venue.

Major congratulations to the headliners, the old school-tinged Seattle thrash metal band Vanishment, on releasing their stellar debut full-length No More Torture. If you dig Testmant, Overkill, or even old early Metallica, this album is right up your alley. Joining them for this special record release show is the excellent progressive death metal band Blighted Eye, the wonderfully blasphemous heathens from Goat Sanctuary, and the newly formed death n’ roll project Serpent Speech
