Did you get lost in the unraveling of the Richardson Family when Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon stunned in the Hulu adaptation of Little Fires Everywhere? Did you binge-read Everything I Never Told You because the first lines were a riveting lead-in to a family mystery (Lydia is dead. But they don’t know this yet.)? Then take a minute to remember all your burning questions and go to this event. New York Times bestselling author Celeste Ng is coming to Seattle. She’ll speak about these works and her newest book with Seattle Arts & Lectures at Town Hall’s Great Hall.

Tickets include a copy of Ng’s third book, Our Missing Hearts, which came out on October 4. Readers descend into the story by way of a letter sent to twelve-year-old Bird Gardner by his mother, who left three years ago without a word. The dystopian air in the book is timely; the envelope has been slit, inspected, and resealed by the post office—a result of the decade-long standing Preserving American Culture and Traditions Act. From the publisher: “An old story made new, of the ways supposedly civilized communities can ignore the most searing injustice.”

Danya Kukafka, bestselling author of Notes on an Execution and Girl in Snow, will lead the Q&A. In-person & virtual tickets are available on a sliding scale, and there are limited $10 Pay What You Can tickets reserved for those with the most economic need.
